The Retail Factory announces charity donation
As part of The Retail Factory’s ongoing commitment to it’s customers and the local community, we are excited to announce that throughout 2008 our chosen charity is Sue Ryder Care – Manorlands Hospice.Sue Ryder Care provides care for patients with cancer and other illnesses that limit life such as motor neurone disease and multiple sclerosis. It is dedicated to helping people in its many hospices and care centres throughout the United Kingdom and The Retail Factory is pleased to reveal that we will be donating money to our local Sue Ryder Care centre - Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope, Bradford.
The Manorlands Hospice serves the population of Bradford, Airedale and Craven. It has been providing specialist palliative care for patients since 1974 through teams of specially trained nurses, carers, social workers and doctors.
The Services at Manorlands Hospice include a 16 bed in-patient Unit, a Day Therapy Unit, a Community Specialist Palliative Care Team and a bereavement and counselling service. The Sue Ryder Care is completely reliant on voluntary contributions to pay for it’s running costs which last year came to £1.9 million.
